Certificate Discovery

From My account in the Data security products tab or by logging straight to the Data security products panel https://certmanager.certum.pl, in the Certificate Discovery view, you will be able to scan and manage scan results of found installed certificates for the domains and IP addresses.

Domain or IP address scanning

You can add domains or IP addresses to the scan. After adding them, wait for the scan results to see whether the domain or IP address is secured with a certificate or requires certificate installation.

The scan will only check publicly available addresses and ports (443) and return information about the certificate found, regardless of the CA that issued it.

If multiple certificates are installed for a domain or IP address, information about the first available certificate will be returned.

Domain list preview

The list of scanned domains displays the domains and IP addresses for which the scan was performed. The list returns scan details, including:

• Domain name or IP address
• Status of the installed certificate found and its serial number
• Expiration date of the installed certificate found
• Name of the Certification Authority that issued the certificate.

More information about the scan results is available in the domain details. Click the domain to access the details view.

You can also view domain scan results by looking at the installed certificates found: the Certificates tab lists the domains for which an installed certificate was found, along with its details.

Transferring the certificate to Certum

As the certificate expiration date approaches, the system will provide the option to renew the certificate. This will allow you to order a certificate for the domain or IP address from Certum for the next period.

It is also available to order a certificate for a domain not secured with any certificate.

As a result, the system allows you to monitor domains and IP addresses for certificate installation and gradually transfer their protection to Certum.

Removing domains from the list

If you no longer wish to monitor a specific domain or IP address, you can remove it from the list. This will also free up space for new domain scans.

To update the domain’s certificate installation status, you can rerun the scan from the domain details.
